There are very few designers whose work still carries genuine weight — the kind that makes you stop scrolling and actually look. Phoebe Philo is one of them. Her latest collection drops on 2nd June, and from what the lookbook reveals, it's a continuation of everything that made her return so significant: clothes that think, that last, that mean something.

The palette is anchored in the earth — deep tobacco browns, chalk whites, military olive, and a lot of black. Leather appears throughout, not as a statement but as a material that earns its place quietly: belted coats, fluid trousers, a sharp jacket with a draped collar that manages to feel both architectural and entirely wearable. There's a houndstooth coat that walks the line between tailoring and outerwear, and a floor-length satin dress — Look 13 — that is, simply, one of the most beautiful things we've seen this year.

Fur (or its likeness) returns in rich chestnut and auburn tones, worn with the kind of ease that only comes from clothes designed to be lived in. Accessories are minimal but deliberate: oversized gold earrings, wide-brimmed hats, chunky bracelets worn against bare wrists. The jewellery doesn't accessorise the look — it completes it.

What Philo continues to do, collection after collection, is make clothes for women who already know who they are. There's no trend-chasing here, no noise. Just precision, material intelligence, and a very particular kind of confidence.

The collection goes live at phoebephilo.com on 2nd June. Set a reminder.
