A collaboration between Stella McCartney and H&M yields a trench coat of considered proportion — oversized in silhouette, maxi in length, and executed in a crisp light beige cotton-blend fabric that carries the hallmarks of the classic form without deference to convention. Storm flap, epaulettes, adjustable buckled cuffs, and a self-tie belt anchor the design in trench tradition, while the exaggerated volume and relaxed drape give it an unmistakably contemporary ease.
